An extensive selection of brake lathe inserts are available for many popular makes and models. Positive rake bits usually have 3 cutting sides, a tapered shape and are installed on a flat tool holder. Negative rake bits can have 12 cutting edges, are square with edges and are used with an angled tool holder.
